About Granite Tiles & Slabs :
At the stone factory, technicians uses a gang saw or block saw to cut the giant blocks into slabs. A gang saw is inserted with cutting segments-steel plates and steel shots. These help in cutting the hard blocks into slabs or strips of tiles. Once this process is over, the slab is properly shaped, surface processed (polished, leathered, flamed, honed, bush hammered, etc.) and finished. Gang saw granite slabs and cut to size tiles derived from sliced blocks now, it is ready for installation.

Usually, the minimum average size of a granite slab is 105″ x 54″ to 112"x78". Thicknesses can also be 3/4″ or 1-1/4″ . The granite slabs are packed in bundles of approximately 400 to 450 square feet.

Quartz is generally less expensive. But with the exception of the cheapest granite, quartz is generally less expensive—$70 to $100 per square foot installed compared with granite's price range of $60 to $270 per square foot installed.

How do I remove stains from granite slabs?

Mix a poultice paste of baking soda and water (for oil-based stains), or baking soda and peroxide (for others), until it's as thick as peanut butter. Spread the mixture over the spot, cover it with plastic wrap that you've poked a few holes in, and secure it with masking tape. Let the poultice paste stand for 24 hours.

While bleach is a great disinfectant, it can dull the finish of your granite and in some cases even change its color. There are other, safer, ways to disinfect your stone, so avoid bleach and any products that contain it when cleaning your granite.
