For close to a century, there was one name on the lips of every Chicago resident. Every newspaper headline. Everyone. Maxwell street was the most thriving (and controversial) market of its day, and one of the most prominent cultural spaces in history. It was also one of the most dynamic shopping districts on the planet. However, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. This retrospective documentary will look at the people of Maxwell Street both then and now, revealing the passionate vendors who still walk amongst us today. It was a sad ending to an incredible story – one we’re finally ready to tell.

Pacific West Motion Pictures (PWMP) is a dynamic and high-quality film production company that produces both television shows and full-length motion pictures. We finance through common streams which includes funding from the production company, from a studio, from investors, or from co-production relationships. We also look to fund our productions through less traditional means such as through crowd funding and source funds. The company also welcomes private investment as well as equity investment with business associates.

Promotion Concept

Every filmmaker goes into production with the expectation that his or her film will become a success and eventually become a hit, someday. In making great efforts to achieve this objective, Pacific West Motion Pictures is committed to the best efforts possible, to produce exceptional quality projects towards land development deals. While this may not entirely get us into a green light situation, in one sweep, we will continue to be unrelenting in our efforts until we reach and surpass our set targets.

Our Audience Comes first

PWMP makes a commitment to always putting the audience first. We know that unless an audience is engaged and satisfied with our work, there’s no reason to produce it. Our decision to create a project and the way in which we produce it will be determined by our customers and their desires.In essence, our focus is geared towards the creation of quality and innovative filmmaking that meets the audience at the core of their needs.

Domestic Distribution

We are using the old school approach here, which translates into successful domestic distribution for a lot of independent films which may be difficult to obtain on any scale, using the ‘modern’ approach. Pacific West Motion Pictures (PWMP) still believes that festival premiere remains the best sales platform for independent films, which is why we will also be looking at other strategies for gathering audience data of attendees of film festivals and the likes.
