Make a baking-soda paste if any stains remain. Add water to 1/4 cup baking soda slowly, stirring until it forms a thick paste. Scrub the floor with the baking-soda paste using a sponge, rag or soft-bristled toothbrush. Allow the baking soda to remain on the stains for 30 minutes, then wash it away with warm water.

Concrete is perfectly adequate, if not recommended, for use as the shower pan base for materials such as stone, tile or mosaic tile to be used as the finish surface (as long as there is a proper membrane between the concrete and any vulnerable surrounding material).
